About
This is the evolution of a classic and one of the smartest boats you can buy. Ian Farrier took a second look at his hall of fame F-27 and evolved it into the F-28. He added larger amas for more stability and better sail carrying capability. He changed the stick to a rotating wing mast for cleaner airflow, faster upwind sailing, and deeper downwind angles. He added retractable bowsprit to carry a large screecher or asymmetrical spinnaker. Farrier relocated the outboard to allow it to turn with the rudder for better low speed maneuverability and easier docking. And this is the popular center cockpit version in which Ian Farrier created an interior with a private aft cabin, large forward cabin, central dinette, galley, and fully enclosed marine head.
Why is this one of the smartest boats you can buy? Because it can sail at windspeed, relocate at highway speed, and moor in 18" of water (or on its trailer in your backyard). It benefits from very sophisticated engineering by one of the best minds in multihulls. You can cruise it. You can race it. You can single-hand it. You can enjoy it with a crew of friends or a young family. You can sail the Pacific Northwest one week and the Channel Islands the next. You can range far and wide with an F-28. I once sold a Corsair for a fellow who had enjoyed sailing the Inside Passage, the Sea of Cortez, the Great Lakes, the Lakes of Texas, the Gulf Coast and just about everywhere in between on his Corsair. He was 87 years old when he was done! I had another client take one from the Great Lakes half way through the Northwest Passage - single-handed. These are incredibly versatile, incredibly well-engineered machines. This F-28 Center Cockpit has been well upgraded, has a new main sail, fresh running rigging, a nearly new trailer, a recent outboard, and it is ready to take you on your own adventures. Call or email Matthew to set a viewing. She is priced to sell and won't last.
Was a pleasure working with Andrew Hodgdon as buyers agent for our recent multihull purchase. Very knowledgeable of this space and for sure my first call buying or selling a yacht.
The multihull company has been great to work with. They were very helpful in every stage of our purchase from instill showings to purchase. Karl Reed, Andrew Hodgon and Andrew Holland were great sources of information and helped us find our dream Catamaran. Thank you Multihull!
Sold my L42 here with the excellent help and support of TMCs Croatia sales manager “Zee”. Despite my boat docked on the dry in Montenegro, in winter and in a challenging market, TMC and Zee managed to get her sold, managing the entire process from taking pictures and video’s, putting her out there on the web, prepping her and managing all for inspections….down to the final hand-over documents and managing the escrow payments when all boxes were ticked! Very professional, very helpful (Zee went above and beyond to make sure he delivers excellent service), responsive and successful. Thanks TMC!
We purchased our lagoon 410 through the multihull company, Andrew Hodgdon was the listing’s broker. From the start till the end of the process he was upfront honest and accommodating. Our situation was unique and required a bit more leg work. Andrew was always easy to get a hold of and willing to help. It was a pleasure working with a highly knowledgeable broker that values integrity. I highly recommend him.
