About
"Windsurfer" is a wonderful example of the up-and-coming Max Cruise performance catamaran brand. She features the desirable 3-cabin / 2 head Owner's Version layout which can comfortably accommodate 6 people. The Max Cruise 44SC incorporates a compelling combination of performance, comfort, and versatility making it a standout choice for sailors seeking a sporty cruising vessel. The 44SC has impressive sailing performance due to its lightweight composite construction, daggerboards, and retractable rudders. She especially shines in light wind conditions. Its spacious interior layout maximizes comfort and functionality, offering ample living space and modern amenities. The catamarans wide beam enhances stability and creates a generous outdoor living area, great for entertaining or relaxing. With its advanced design and lightweight construction the Max Cruise 44SC is the ideal platform for extended fast cruising and offers the perfect blend of speed, safety, and livability.
With her lifting daggerboards and retractable rudders, Windsurfer can enter the shallowest of anchorages. Her 64ft rig height allows her to comfortably navigate under the bridges of the Intracoastal Waterway. This combination gives her access to numerous locations that could not be reached by most other vessels of her size.
Windsurfer features the dual aft helm layout which results in a visceral sailing experience while maintaining visibility and weather protection. The pivoting helms allow the skipper to stand outboard in the breeze or shift the helms inboard under the hardtop for protection from the elements. The dual sliding doors and swing up window between the cockpit and salon create an open-concept living space. The large galley with island, forward facing nav station, big salon table and L-shape settee make that living space totally functional. She's also fully equipped with all the amenities of a modern liveaboard catamaran. Some of the highlights include:
And much more! Windsurfer is US Duty Paid and currently undergoing out-of-water service but is available for showings by appointment in beautiful St Augustine, FL.

Working with Andrew Hodgdon at The MultiHull Company was a great experience. Andrew has years of experience in the multihull market, especially performence catamarans and was the Technical Director at Balance Catamarans for many years. He’s always available to talk, guide and advise. He’s easy to work with, is extremely knowledgeable, and has a very pleasant way about him. I would highly recommend Andrew to help in your sale or purchase of any multihull.
Working with Will, Andrew Holland and Andrew Hodgdon to sell my Balance 442 was such a pleasure. No one knows multihulls as well as Andrew Hodgdon, especially performance cats like a Balance. As Technical Director of Balance for many years, Andrew knows all of the nuances of that type of boat, as well as the other brands in the category. If you want to sell or buy a catamaran, look no further than Andrew Hodgdon!
Multihull Company did a great job with advertising and selling our boat. Also with the closing and documentation work. Highly recommend them and our broker, Dunbar Lewis.
