SAMANTHA JANE | 2004 Lagoon 43 Power

Kemah, TX, US

About

We are pleased to present the Samantha Jane, a 2004 Lagoon 43 Power Catamaran for sale. She is an excellent blue-water vessel, outfitted & prepared for extended cruising. Owners planned a multi-year stay in The Bahamas, however life events have changed so we now offer her For Sale. The boat has always been in private ownership and never chartered. She has an excellent survey from when the current owners bought her, showing this boat to be in great condition and has been improved since.

She has 3 electric heads, with the fourth head converted to a shower. Connecting saloon & cockpit, separated by a sliding glass door, provides 2 dining tables for entertaining. There is a lot of storage throughout. She has 2 poly tanks for fresh water (750 liters) with each head having an individual holding tank.

Galley

The galley houses a propane 4-burner (one R in burner) cooktop and oven (with a remote shut-off valve for safety), a 1200-Watt microwave oven, an under-counter refrigerator/freezer, a large Uline ice maker, and a separate large box freezer. For clean-up you have a two-well sink with spray faucet. A “purified” water faucet with UV purifier is also installed at the sink.

Deck & Equipment

An Atlantic windlass (new motor Apr. 2023) and 45 lb delta anchor with a new spray-off hose in the chain locker. Padded seating in bow & padded sunning area behind flybridge. Large storage compartments in bow include a Rainman watermaker & many spare parts & filters. Fourteen ¾ inch lines of 30 ft to 100 ft length were recently purchased for securing her in The Bahamas during hurricane season, and are included in the sale. Several fenders are also included. An electric hoist aft (with a new winch) and Presto XL500R hydraulic tender launch share the swim deck. Eisenglass encloses the cockpit, with a trio of screens also available for shading from the sun.

Electronics & Navigation

She includes a full complement of Garmin instrumentation, at the upper helm a GPSMap 5208 Chartplotter and GMI10 remote instrument display. At the lower helm is a GPSMap 5212 Chartplotter and Garmin Autopilot system. The arch-mounted Garmin GMR 24 Radar can be displayed on either Chartplotter. A WaveWiFi MNC1250 WiFi/cellular fallback router with antenna is included in the sale (cellular SIM card not included, contact your cellular provider). A Standard Horizons Explorer VHF radio is at the lower helm, with a remote (wired connector) handheld available at the flybridge. The Pioneer multifunction radio provides music inside and outside. An HDTV is wall-mounted in the saloon. An arch-mounted spotlight is available from the flybridge.

Included is an Onan MDKAW 11-kW generator with 1258 hours, recently serviced including new impeller, oil filter, belt, & rear water pump seals. She has a standard 50-amp, 208 volt service connector aft, with approximately 75 feet of Marinco feeder cables. Both engines & the genset have new start batteries (Feb. 2023) with eight 100 Amp-hr batteries for the house bank. House batteries are charged via solar bimini and two solar panels mounted on the port rail, or by the port-side alternator when underway. Start batteries are charged via each alternator & a Dolphin 3-output 80-amp charger from shore power.

Engine & Mechanical

Port & Starboard Volvo Penta KAMD 300 diesel engines (285 hp each) with just under 1900 hours and Volvo/ZF HSW3A transmissions, 2.52:1 reduction. Engines passed all diagnostics, Jan. 2023. Cardin shafts recently inspected & certified in good condition (including U-joints) Jan. 2023. New thrust bearings & cutlass bearings, Jan. 2023. On the 50mm prop haft are “dripless” PSS shaft seals and 4-blade propellers. She has 4 poly tanks for diesel fuel (1500 liters total). Engines were serviced in Jan. 2023, including new raw-water pump impellers, Raycor filters, oil filters, air filters, new belts, & new supercharger hoses.

Additional Information

There are four OEM bilge pumps, one replaced in Apr. 2023. Two automatic bilge switches aft were replaced in Apr. 2023. A pair of Rule bilge pumps with float switches were previously added for redundancy. The OEM pumps for the forward compartments are manually activated from the DC Control Panel. The vessel is equipped with a FlowScan fuel consumption system that interfaces to the GPSMap 5212 Chartplotter for display of fuel use statistics. A good set of manuals is available, including the Lagoon manual, a set of Volvo Workshop Manuals to aid with engine maintenance, Garmin manuals, and most appliance manuals. This vessel has recently been outfitted for potentially three-years of continuous cruising in The Bahamas, so she is ready to go. This is a very nice-driving yacht, with all electronic controls (not cables), excellent visibility, and positive controllability in tight quarters. She has generated the most amazing memories in the time we’ve owned her, from the first day she makes dreams happen.

The Multihull Company is pleased to assist you in the purchase of this vessel though the vessel may be listed with another brokerage company.

We take pride in our happy customers

My wife and I worked with Andrew Hodgdon to sell our 2021 FP Elba 45. In addition to skillfully carrying out the traditional yacht broker responsibilities, Andrew went above-and-beyond to ensure that we were well-positioned to sell in a competitive market. For example, Andrew helped out with much-appreciated repairs and hurricane prep, among other things. Trustworthy, intelligent, and conscientious, Andrew’s communications with us and the buyer were always thoughtful and forward-thinking, and fairly represented our interests.

We really lucked out in connecting with The Multihull Company. We made a cold call to Cynthia Wummer, a Multihull Company broker and told her we wanted to buy a catamaran to cruise The Great Loop and experience the Bahamas. We particularly wanted a PDQ power catamaran. From our first contact she was so helpful and responsive. She immediately contacted a selling broker who represented a prospective seller. Because we are new to a bigger boat and boating on the ICW, Cynthia assisted us through the entire process. She is a captain which was an added bonus to the process; she knew all the right questions to ask the selling broker as well as the surveyor. She drove 3 hours to be present during the survey, she developed a good relationship with the selling broker, she called and checked in with us regularly, was very enthusiastic about our purchase, and answered all our questions. We could not have done it without her. The Multlihull Company support team, Andrew Holland and Courtney Greider, were so helpful in the closing process: the paperwork was easy to complete and communication was smooth and timely. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Multihull Company and Cynthia to anyone who is the market for a boat large or small. Thank you!!!!
