About
Loki is a Venezia 42 from the renowned design team of Joubert-Nivelt and built at the Fountaine Pajot shipyard. The Venezia 42 set the standard for cruising catamarans and its futuristic lines, robust construction, and impressive performance stand up to this day.
Should you wish to make safe ocean passage to Tahiti, or cruise coastal southern California, Baja, or British Columbia, these proven catamarans are up to the task.
In addition to strong hull construction and spacious interior, deck and cockpit, Loki is set up for very efficient shorthanded sailing with full batten mainsail, lazy jacks and furling jib all controlled by self-tailing and electric winches in the cockpit. The steering station is in a protected cockpit with excellent visibility and full controls for the twin Yanmar saildrive diesel engines.
Loki is a great example of this strong, proven, world-cruising Catamaran.
Overall, a great all around sailing Venezia 42.

Broker’s Remarks
A highly successful model, the Venezia 42 was launched in 1992 and remained in production until 2000. Nearly 200 Venezias were built. Immediately recognizable for its enduring good looks, owing in part to the trend-setting extended visor, which adds to the sleek, futuristic profile while shielding the salon from harsh sunlight.
Truly a cruising cat, the hulls have a narrow entry and nearly-plumb bows, resulting in a waterline length of 41 feet. Sturdy and heavily-built by catamaran standards, the Venizia boasts a substantial bridgedeck at just over 27 feet long, which gives the boat rigidity and accounts for some of the weight.
The Venezia’s hulls are a sandwich construction with vacuum bagged PVC foam cores. The outer skins are hand-laid fiberglass with isophthalic polyester resin. The core is then bonded with regularly-spaced couplers, linking the two skins into a single, sturdy unit. The fiberglass sculpting is superb and the molded-in non-skid is very effective.
Loki’s previous owners cruised her extensively throughout Central and South America. This proven cruising catamaran is now available due to life circumstances. If you’re looking for a beautiful, solidly-performing sailing cat, Loki should be at the top of your list. Contact the seller’s agent to schedule a private viewing.
Walk Through
Board Loki via one of the hull sterns, ascending wide steps with handholds on either side, to the main deck. Once there, you can move forward or laterally with ease due to the intelligent, full-walk-around deck, without having to pass through the cockpit. Moving forward, generous side decks with double lifelines and handholds make for safe, easy access to the foredeck.

The cockpit is open and spacious with ample wrap-around seating that will accommodate 10-12 guests, with a full vinyl tonneau cover fitted over a heavy-duty, stainless steel frame. The helm station, positioned forward and to starboard with a two-person bench seat for the helmsman and observer, provides a commanding view of all quarters. With all lines leading to the cockpit and an electric winch, Loki is set up for short-handed cruising.

Salon
Enter the salon via the cockpit via a sliding glass door. The salon is a welcoming, intelligently-laid-out space that’s bathed in ample, natural light from the wrap-around windows and light-colored sole. On the aft bulkhead, immediately to starboard is an array of instruments for battery monitoring, LP Gas control, tank monitor, and Magnum charger/inverter control. Aft and to port and starboard are companionway stairs to the mirror-image cabins in each hull. Forward and to starboard is a well-equipped, L-shaped, galley up. Forward on centerline is the large, U-shaped dinette and custom table. The wrap-around windows and two opening, forward-facing hatches provide both a stunning panoramic view and a dreamy flow of ocean air. To port is the chart table and breaker panel, easily accessed without having to crouch.

My wife and I worked with Andrew Hodgdon to sell our 2021 FP Elba 45. In addition to skillfully carrying out the traditional yacht broker responsibilities, Andrew went above-and-beyond to ensure that we were well-positioned to sell in a competitive market. For example, Andrew helped out with much-appreciated repairs and hurricane prep, among other things. Trustworthy, intelligent, and conscientious, Andrew’s communications with us and the buyer were always thoughtful and forward-thinking, and fairly represented our interests.
We really lucked out in connecting with The Multihull Company. We made a cold call to Cynthia Wummer, a Multihull Company broker and told her we wanted to buy a catamaran to cruise The Great Loop and experience the Bahamas. We particularly wanted a PDQ power catamaran. From our first contact she was so helpful and responsive. She immediately contacted a selling broker who represented a prospective seller. Because we are new to a bigger boat and boating on the ICW, Cynthia assisted us through the entire process. She is a captain which was an added bonus to the process; she knew all the right questions to ask the selling broker as well as the surveyor. She drove 3 hours to be present during the survey, she developed a good relationship with the selling broker, she called and checked in with us regularly, was very enthusiastic about our purchase, and answered all our questions. We could not have done it without her. The Multlihull Company support team, Andrew Holland and Courtney Greider, were so helpful in the closing process: the paperwork was easy to complete and communication was smooth and timely. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Multihull Company and Cynthia to anyone who is the market for a boat large or small. Thank you!!!!

Communication occurred at every level and constructive advise was always given. They know this business inside and out and acted as my fiduciary in every way. I will use them again for their service and knowledge.
Great to deal with and very patient in our questions. They were able to find us the perfect vessel for our needs.
