Owner Statement

I Found Cat Alee in a state of disrepair in the back of a Newport, RI boatyard in 2018. Her 3 most redeeming qualities were a sound hull, brand new engines (professionally installed), and custom davits capable of mounting solar panels. After a 4-month extensive retrofit, all wiring and electronics were updated, hull painted, and a new aluminum double-hull dinghy with Tohatsu 9.9hp outboard was added. The owner, an engineer and life-long sailor, spent the next 5 years island hopping the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida Keys. Volvo Sail-drives were removed and refurbished 2023. Cat Alee is an absolute joy to captain. Light and fast with a shallow draft, she handles effortlessly in blue water and near shore conditions.
