About This Boat

Quinita is a beautiful and affordable entry level catamaran!

The TomCat 9.7 is an ICW friendly and beachable pocket cat.  It is similar in size and layout to the Gemini 105MC but with much better build quality, design, and performance.  Like the Gemini, a major selling point of this catamaran is that it fits in many single berth marina slips.

Quinita is a performance oriented cruising catamaran. The large length/beam ratio of her hulls, combined with light weight, an efficient rig and a high aspect ratio foil centerboard give excellent performance in all winds and on all points of sail. The sheets, genoa furling line, and main halyards are all led to the cockpit for singlehand convenience. Twin outboards in wells provide quiet, comfortable motoring. Wheel steering and instrumentation is just a step away from the interior navigation station.

TomCat 9.7 is molded using high quality ISO resins, vacuum bagged CoreCell™ foam, and biaxial fiberglass. Major interior elements are molded fiberglass, with accents in cherry wood.

The cherry wood interior and polished exterior have been lovingly cared for by her owner.  She is a single owner boat and shows almost as if she were brand new.

Accommodations

The 'open plan' interior of the TomCat 9.7 feels wonderfully spacious and light with almost 360° panoramic views even when seated in the salon area, standing in the hulls, or from the galley. The plate glass windows give excellent optical view point from both inside and the cockpit. She’s roomy, particularly for a couple, and there’s nothing to compare with going to sleep in the owners berth looking at the stars overhead.  Even on rainy nights, she’s dry and cozy, while you wait for the sun to appear again.  There is an outside 'sailing position' for the helmsman with full protection under the hard top.

The owner's version layout of the vessel includes a queen+ size owner's berth forward with vanity and dressing area.  There is a guest double berth cabin in the starboard aft hull. The salon table may also convert to a large double berth to accommodate up to 6 people total. A spacious galley with plenty of counter top space is located in the starboard side. The composting head and hot water shower are aft on the port side. There is full standing headroom throughout hulls, center salon, and cockpit. Five opening hatches provide ventilation.
