Any yacht broker who sells a powerboat one day and a single hulled sailboat the next cannot be a true “buyer broker.” At The Multihull Company every broker is a true expert – all we do,...
Every sailor who calls a brokerage company to list his or her yacht for sale has the same agenda—sell my boat for the highest possible price in the shortest timeframe with the least amount of hassle. With that common theme comes a range of mistakes that work against the seller’s best interests. Her...
Phillip Berman, President of The Multihull Company, goes over some of the most common mistakes that buyers make when purchasing a used catamaran, and how to avoid these mistakes....
Many buyers who contact us these days develop some very strong personal preferences about a range of things: dagger boards versus keels, Yamar versus Volvo, Flybridge versus Bullkhead Helms, etc. etc. Many buyers send us long "Must Have" lists. Are you the sort of guy who asks builders for performance Polars? Who measures a catamarans power to weight ratio? Do you spend hours pouring over catamaran owner web blogs and or forums? Do you research carefully the difference between various foam cores, glass materials, resins? Are you attract...
