About This Boat

A privately owned Leopard 47 that has been cruising in the South Pacific paradises of French Polynesia since 2013. The owner couple has lived permanently on board after buying her in the Caribbean in 2011. The previous owner had done an extensive refitting of the boat prior to the sale. The current owners have carefully enjoyed this investment, and equipped the boat even more for offshore and remote area cruising.

This Leopard 47 was originally speced for and spent 5 years in the crewed (only) charter trade in the BVI. Compared to other similar boats in the market, she presents well equipped, well maintained and clean.

She sports DOYLE sails: genoa from 2012, main, gennaker from 2010. Bowsprit, a factory made hard-top bimini, electric winch at the helm, solar panels, renewed deck hatches throughout, new salon window screens, more canvas work in progress.

Her interior is in superior condition and full of premium amenities and equipment: professionally remade salon upholstery, a 9 KW ONAN generator, full air-conditioning, powerful ECHO TECH 200l/h water maker, engine/generator driven water heater, two fridges and a freezer, a Splendide mobile home washer/dryer.

Her complete electronics package is recent and includes Furuno radar, SSB radio and AIS. State of the art WiFi networking equipped for on board systems and internet providers ashore. An 11ft RIB dinghy (aluminum bottom) with covers and outboard engine round-out this turn-key yacht.

This Leopard 47 would be an obvious choice for a buyer who can appreciate direct access to the South Pacific paradises, and more so for someone who would make French Polynesia their cruising base.

Contact us about extended cruising in French Polynesia or even registering the boat in French Polynesia. The cruising rules in this vast ocean territory the size of Europe have changed for the better. The current, three-year, renewable boat visitor permit is ideal for a cruiser looking to get to  the Marquesas, Tuamotu or Gambier archipelagos. The very reasonably priced Polynesian Flag/registry is another excellent option to consider.

A rare permanent berth at Vaiare Marina in Tahaa is also available.
