This Outremer 45 is genuinely equipped for fast, efficient bluewater cruising. It has all of the equipment for safe and comfortable cruising without the extra weight that would slow down this legendary performance, daggerboard design. No heavy generator and air conditioning on this Outremer 45. But all the equipment to keep batteries charged-up and comfort amenities available: a large array of solar panels and a wind generator feed a Mastervolt charger/inverter to keep the watermaker, washing machine, fridge, freezer, radar, SSB, sapthone and nav electronics on call. What more could want. A real sailor's cat configured for the cruising sailor who prefers to sail when his peers are motorsailing.
This Outremer 45 is just completing a transatlantic circle that has taken this family of four on an adventure from the Med to the Caribbean, US Eastern Seaboard, Greater Antilles and back to the Lesser Antilles. No fear of pushing to windward on this cat. In the spirit of keeping the boat safe and comfortable for his family, the experienced owner has replaced all of the essential gear aboard over these last two years. The boat has new (2011/2012) mainsail, solent, code zero.The standing rigging and most of the running rigging were replaced. The deck and sailing hardware are all top-shelf and over-dimensioned: large Andersen 46ST winches, double Frederiksen blocks for main halyard, oversized Frederiksen cars and travellers. The service and engine batteries are new, so is the interior and exterior upholstery.
