Lagoon 47 - “Amuitz ”

Lagoon 47 - “Amuitz ”

The Lagoon 47 is one of the most successful and appreciated blue-water cruisers ever built. Very elegant lines from the drawing board of VPLP, high bridge-deck clearance, wide decks, vast cockpit, twin wheels, broad transoms are some of the trademark features of this legendary model. The Lagoon 47 is considered a "classic" in cruising circles.

Lagoon 47 AMUITZ has just completed a Pacific crossing on a journey that began five years ago in Florida when the owners traded-in their mono-hull after several years of cruising the Atlantic. These adventurous owners have created a very efficient yacht that has taken them safely and comfortably to some of the most remote archipelagos of the Caribbean and Pacific.

AMUITZ is thoroughly outfitted for bluewater cruising with a lot of recently upgraded equipment: twin 40 HP Yanmars (2007, 1900 hours); 5 KVA NORTHERN LIGHTS generator (2007, 400 hours), solar panels, wind-generator, watermaker (2011), hard-top bimini with fresh water catchment. The standing rigging was replaced in 2006. AMUITZ is set-up with a versatile sail plan designed for a wide range of conditions: self-tacking solent on removable stay, furling genoa, hank-on staysail and assymetrical spinnaker.

The electronics package is simple and includes all of the offshore tools: RAYMARINE C120 chartplotter with color radar, SSB and AIS.

After some nine years of cruising, this couple has decided to return to home soil to look after their grandchildren. The boat is stored in the water in Langkawi and ready for more adventure. Contact us to arrange a showing.
