Fusion catamarans are chosen for their bluewater performance cruising capabilities. They feature sealed buoyancy chambers, excellent form stability, forward crash bulkheads, balanced loads, and elegant interiors. They are a choice catamaran from the pen of Gary Litgard. Fusions have great beam mated to easily driven hulls. Hull length to width at waterline is an impressive 13:1 with excellent clearance. The design is sleek and the construction features the toughness and lightness of epoxy modified vinylester resin infusion.
Many Fusions are the products of kits reliant on assembly and/or finish work of first-time builders. Not this one. This Fusion 40 has been professionally built by Aero-Nautica group of Vancouver - who for 20 years have been specialists in composite construction for the marine and aerospace community. No build required - take her sailing this season.
If you intend to purchase a voyaging catamaran she bears your inspection. Her launch date is nigh and she is well located. Sea Trial her on the Straits, a shakeout round Vancouver Island (or through the Great Bear Rainforest) and then the Pacific beckons. |
