Fountaine Pajot Casamance - “Durabo ”

Fountaine Pajot Casamance - “Durabo ”

The Casamance 45 is considered a "classic" in multihull circles. This model helped establish the Fountaine Pajot brand and remains a reference bluewater cat. Long, narrow hulls, very good bridge-deck clearance and clever weight distribution give it excellent sea-keeping qualities. DURABO has had two owners: the first brought it across the Atlantic, transited the Panama Canal and sailed it as far as the Pacific Northwest. The current owner bought it in Florida and has criss-crossed the Caribbean for the last 10 years.

The boat just completed a professional check-up and some upgrades this spring in Saint Martin: new 12V front-loading fridge was installed in the galley; new charger/inverter installed; the electrical panel, house battery configuration was upgraded; the engine rooms were painted and cleaned-up.

Her inventory includes a wind-generator, radar, SSB, chart-plotter, large dinghy and outboard. The standing rigging and genoa are new. If you are considering a cat to cross oceans or circumnavigate, this one can get you there on a very modest budget.

The interior cosmetics are rough and she needs new liners throughout. The liners could be replaced or removed and the interior painted. These are jobs that could be completed in Saint Martin at reasonable cost.
