Fountaine Pajot Salina 48 - “Cool Cat ”

Fountaine Pajot Salina 48 - “Cool Cat ”

SELLER HAS JUST REDUCED THE PRICE OF THIS BOAT BY $50,000 AND IS NOW A TREMENDOUS VALUE!

Wow! Cool Cat is surely the cleanest and freshest Salina 48 I have ever had the pleasure to inspect and sell.

I always tell people that no boat is a "10" on my own scale; that I have never seen a 10. And in fact I haven't. To be a 10, a yacht must be a brand new boat, six months old, with every single kink and warranty problem resolved and sitting on a dock looking "As New" and working better than new. The only reason Cool Cat cannot qualify as a 10 is that she is a 2008, not a 2012. Because in every other respect she is one of those so very, very rare boats that is in "shrink wrapped" condition. She is a 9 on my scale across the board.

Cool Cat's owner ordered her brand new and had her delivered to the U.S., where she was imported, and then brought her home to his place in New Jersey and found that time and circumstance forced him to focus all of his energy on his business; a business, by the way, that specializes in the engineering and enchancement of high performance racing motors. In short, her owner has cared for her like a fine machine being the engineer that he is. She sits behind his home, is cared for, yet hardly ever used. Catch this: she has all of 400 hours on her upgraded Yanmars. Her generator and reverse cycle air and heat units are similarly "as new." Shrinked wrapped? Immaculate? Looking and smelling like a new boat? Yes, yes, and yes. Here is the sort of catamaran a yacht broker dreams about - no excuses, no problems to disclose, a yacht that speaks for herself the moment you walk on her.

Cool Cat has a custom layout I should describe. On her port side she has an aft suite queen bed with ensuite shower and head. Just forward of that port aft master suite is single berth just aft of amidships. Going forward she has a large en-suite master suite with ensuite shower and head.

To Starboard the owner requested a large owners master suite aft, with a mid-ships head and seperate standing shower, and forward of that, rather than having a berth, he had Fountaine Pajot design him a set of matching wood veneer cabinets with a single berth on top. His intent had been to turn this space into a workroom for distance voyaging. For those that see his vision, and it is a good one, it is perfect. For those that prefer to have an entire forward berth, well, it is simple as pie to remove the shelving and storage and convert that space back to a suite.

Please view Cool Cats extensive inventory and upgrades. You can be assured you will not find a cleaner used FP Salina anywhere in the world with such low hours in such pristine condition. Cool Cat is available for showing in Southern New Jersey, so please just give us a call.
