Kirra was designed by Ashby & Morelli Yacht Design and professionally built in WEST System by Concept Marine in California as a high performance offshore cruising/racing catamaran. She was one of four Concept 41s built. Her owner reports that "Kirra" cruises comfortably at 14-15 knots and has been sail at 22.5 knots.
The Concept 41 is a pod cabin design with the pod housing 2 x double berths, a chart table and a compact galley. The hulls contain 4 x single berths and a head. She has a fractional sloop rig and twin outboard auxiliary power. She is equipped with dagger boards and a kick-up rudder system which permits beaching.
Kirra is fully demountable, which will allow over the road transport to her new owners location.
If you are looking for a very fast catamaran with compact cruising accommodation and the strength to withstand offshore conditions, this could be the boat for you.
