I needed advice, handholding, more advice, and yet still more handholding. I was clueless about marine financing, insurance, flagging, and import documentation rules. I thought it was like purchasing a house. Not so. I can honestly say that without your help, guidance, hand holding, daily calls, and e-mails, I would not be a boat owner today.

About Charleston Sailing School
Charleston Sailing School is different than the competition because they offer smaller classes on larger yachts. Classes include no more than four students at a time (unless friends or family), while other school can put as many as six students on one small boat. All yachts used are all 2000 models or newer and are desiged for ease of handling, comfort and enjoyment.
Ideally located in downtown Charleston at the Charleston City Marina, the school will provide you with the ideal setting to learn to sail. Consistently ranked one of the top cities to visit in the U.S. by Conde Nast Traveler, and within just a few minutes walk of the historic and commerical districts, your trip to Charlestown will turn into so much more than time in a classroom.
About Captain Will Miller
Captain Will Miller grew up in Virginia and learned to sail in the Chesapeake Bay. He has lived in Charleston since 2001 and knows the city well. Throughout his life Will's parents have owned a variety of sail, ski, and fishing boats in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, the Carolinas, and the Caribbean.
